Purpose: This course is designed to provide the necessary skills to work to meet the instructional requirements to become a registered barber established by the NC Board of Barber Examiners. With the support of RCC, you will be prepared to take the state exam and get started in your barbering career. Students will train in a fully functional RCC Barber Shop. The barbering program will teach the students the essentials required in providing complete hair and skin services such as facial massages, razor shaves, modern hairstyling, haircutting, coloring, and chemical services. Face to Face with an online entity making it Hybrid.)

Monday - Thursday 3:45p - 10:00p In Person Course
Requirements: High School Diploma or its equivalent and passing a given reading assessment at a 10th grade level. Proof of High School Diploma, GED, or Degree can be emailed to Patricia Clark at pclark@robeson.edu
Attendance Policy: Students can miss no more than 16.7% or 306 hours of class. Class meets Monday - Thursday 3:45 pm - 10:00 pm.
Graduation Requirements: Successful completion of this course requires a final grade of C or above and completion of at least 1,528 hours and will award the student with a Certificate of Completion. Course Textbook cost is included in the Registration Fee.
